Next Rehearsal: Sunday, 7/30, 7-9 p.m.

Dear Choral Union,
We're coming down to the wire with rehearsals wrapping up this Sunday and Thursday. Although we'll definitely use every minute of the remaining four hours of rehearsal to prepare and polish, I firmly believe we'll be ready for a splendid concert on Sunday, August 6!

For our rehearsal this Sunday we will once again focus on "Swimming to the Other Side", "I Will Be Earth", "This Marriage" & "Agnus Dei"-- these are the pieces that need the most work. If you have the opportunity to take a brief look at these four pieces before Sunday, I heartily encourage you to do so!

Upcoming rehearsals:
  • Sunday, July 30, 7:00—9:00 p.m. (please note the later time!)
  • Thursday, August 3, 7:00—9:00 p.m. "Dress Rehearsal" (please note the later time!)
A few announcements:
  1. Guests are welcome to attend our "dress rehearsal" next Thursday -- with the implicit understanding that this will be an important WORKING rehearsal for us.
  2. We are currently planning a post-concert reception at Christ Church for audience & performers -- more information to come at Sunday's rehearsal.
  3. Please try to have your tickets paid/returned THIS Sunday (checks payable to Christ Church United Methodist).
This Thursday we will venture back into Cherry Creek North for a pint at the Squealin' Pig (2700 E. 3rd Ave.) -- I talked with the proprietor this morning and was assured that the popular pub would be open and serving food for CPCU on Sunday night. The Squealin' Pig has always been one of Denver's best Irish pub experiences (they've been smoke-free for years, even before the recent ban) -- I hope that many of you will be able to join us after rehearsal this Sunday!

See you this Sunday @ 7:00 p.m.!

The Squealin' Pig is located at 2700 E. 3rd Ave (at Clayton St.) in Cherry Creek North. Click here for a map with directions from Christ Church.
